::Called to ask for directions cause it was confusing for me to find the place . The lady that answered the phone asked “are you dumb” with a heavy accent . Maybe she was having a bad day but still, worst experience.

::I have a very sensitive stomach and the food here is so clean and fresh. This cafe is the one of the only places I can eat from in the Bethesda area. If you have food sensitivity or a finicky tummy, go here! The rice and chicken bowls are the best and the pesto dressing is amazing!

::What a great place to buy breakfast or lunch. You can get healthy meals made with care. I like it because I can grab lunch as I am about to jump on the metro. Love the Brown Bag!!!

::I am very disappointed in this establishment, Brown Bag in Bethesda. I stopped in to buy lunch today (December 21, 2021) planning to eat indoors at the restaurant, and selected a bottled tea drink, and ordered a chicken bowl. But when I tendered cash for payment, I was told that Brown Bag only accepts credit cards---no cash! I always pay for restaurant meals with cash. For me, it is both a life-style choice, and a money management choice---and I know that I am not the only one who chooses to use cash to pay for restaurant meals. In my opinion, no restaurant that doesn't accept cash, should be permitted to operate. And when I visited Brown Bag there were no signs, at least none visibly posted, to let people know that cash was not accepted. I left without the chicken bowl, my only consolation being that the server let me keep the bottled tea drink, which I had already handled. I would note further, that I wanted to make my complaint directly to the management. But the website for Brown Bag does not have an e-mail address posted, that people might use to complain, or simply to comment, directly to the management. All businesses should provide contact information, for customers who want to complain about how they've been treated, or for that matter, to receive positive praise, if such is in order; or to make menu suggestions, or other comments.

::Today morning I experienced something like discrimination from here. I took a seat outdoor table of this restaurant with my wife, after getting coffee from Starbucks just beside. After less than 1min, one person, probably owner or manager came outside and kindly told us not to sit down here because these tables are for customers. So we immediately moved out there with saying sorry. This is OK and reasonable. But the problem is she just asked this to us, not to two white men who had already sit down the other table with Starbucks coffee before we did. Even after we get out there and sit down near one of public chair, the staff did not say anything to these two men. I was really shocked. And nobody did say anything about this, even though two couples of senior citizens having their brunch as well as the two guys heard and saw these. I don’t know...this doesn’t seem like abnormal here...
