::Housemade German and American food, Awesome beer and cocktail options with amazing views from a great waterfront location. One of the very few restaurants on the SF bay with a guest boat dock!

::I think the wow factor here is the view, you can chill under the warm sun and have good german food. I like the pretzel, very different from the ones I had in germany but I like this one more. I think the pricing is slightly on the higher end. The service is really so-so, it wasn't packed but it is difficult to get their attention.

::Fun place to have spent a bit of time by the water. This establishment serves German fare and libations, and has a small outdoor beer garden. Bring your friends for a good time. Food is good and atmosphere is great. There’s also a small amount of parking.

::I am German and can attest that the restaurant mimics German food stereotypes of South Germany. The food would not be considered "good" in Germany though, *plain taste* and items that are supposed to be pan fried seemed to be deep fried. The breading of the Schnitzel was very weird and the gravy of the "Jägerschnitzel" tasted too plain. The menu is a mess (printed and online) which makes it difficult to choose. From a German point of view there are at least two weird details: "Italian sausage" does not belong here and "Wiener Schnitzel" by definition must be made of veal (young beef) and not pork. The service was good! I find the fine print a bit too restrictive: "We present one check per table. We politely decline substitutions. Visa, M/C, Discover accepted. No Amex."

::This place was filled and popular. And it was much better than the last time I went. Fish was good. Fries are okay. Corn chowder was delicious. I love the view of coast guard island in Alameda. Reminds me of the old days.
