::I came to Aikido as a long time student in Karate and Giammanco sensei has been very accommodating in how he structures the lessons to my skill level, and has pushed me to be a better student of martial arts. The Brooklyn Aikido Center is perfect for students of all levels and it's a class I look forward to every week to clear my mind.

::Giammanco sensei is a great teacher. He is comfortable, accommodating and I love his teaching style - Its loose enough to allow students of any level to join at any time, while reinforcing important, basic concepts to more seasoned practitioners, and always introduces something new. I feel strength, growth, and the best kind of vulnerability within every class, and take it home with me when I leave. Aikido is an excellent self defense practice for the body and the mind.

::This is a wonderful place to learn Aikido, whether you're an absolute beginner or a long-time practitioner. I highly recommend Brooklyn Aikido Center: Hoshinkan Dojo to anyone interested in exploring what this unique martial art has to offer.

::I have been in many of Giammanco Sensei's adult Aikido classes. He has been instructing the art for many years and proves his talent as a teacher in every class. His clarity, approachability, dedication, and sincerity all trickle down to his students and their pursuit of the art. Highly recommended!

::This is a very welcoming and highly respected dojo. Giammanco Sensei, the instructor, is super accommodating to all types of people. He makes sure that all students from complete beginners (myself) to advanced students and everyone in between is both comfortable and challenged with the material. I feel like I am learning so much every time I practice! They have a trial membership, which I signed up for, before becoming a student. The rates are VERY affordable and no strings attached i.e. contracts :) I'm so happy I found them online and went to try it out! Maybe one day I'll even be a Sensei too! BTW, they have a kids program as well which is pretty thriving! If you're curious about Aikido, and want to engage your mind as well as the body, please email the instructor to check out a class!
