::Pro tip: Reserve ahead at The Broken Yolk Cafe Costa Mesa to cut the wait. This breakfast hotspot is worth the buzz, and booking ahead guarantees you won't be left hanging around for a table. Had a fantastic time at The Broken Yolk. The Golden State Benedict was my go-to dish, with its crispy bacon, creamy avocado, poached eggs, and zesty sriracha sauce. It was a perfect combination of flavors and textures that left me craving more. I also tried the Bloody Mary Flight, which included four different kinds. The Bloody Caesar was my favorite, with its balanced mix of savory and tangy flavors that gave it a unique twist. The service was top-notch. The waiters were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They provided excellent recommendations and made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. To sum up, The Broken Yolk Cafe Costa Mesa has it all: delicious food, tasty drinks, and exceptional service. Book ahead to skip the wait and enjoy a fantastic breakfast experience at this cafe.

::So I've been here 4 times already, each time I was like alright let me give it one more shot and unfortunately it's just a miss for me. I've tried the chilaquiles, omelette, trio french toast and now the burger and a bite of the waffle sandwich and I have come to realize that this place just doesn't do it for me. Lacks flavor, the drinks however, those are bomb. Each time I ordered a "fun drink" and it did not disappoint. Mimosa flight, their specialty seasonal drinks and cocktails are pretty good, it's just the food. Good atmosphere and there's always a long wait. Staff is friendly and pretty attentive, it's just the food that doesn't make the cut. A lot of people love this place, but it's just not for me, but don't let me stop you, give it a shot yourself, just make sure to order a fun drink 😉

::This place needs to get it together with their to-go orders. Both times I’ve ordered take out, I’ve had quality issues. This most recent order, I paid extra for avocado on my omelette, and they gave me one that was completely brown and rotten. Same thing happened before when I ordered avocado toast. In what world is this ok to serve (see picture)? Especially when you’re paying a premium price to use their takeout feature ($20 for an omelette). Just because it’s a to-go order doesn’t mean you get to pass off your low quality or expired food items that you’re trying to get rid of. In-person, the food is fine and I haven’t had any issues like this. They need to have the same level of care with their take out. This was disgusting. Thank goodness it was just sitting in top where I could see it instead of inside the omelette. Gross.

::Best breakfast brunch spot there is. While it's always crowded, the staff is very nice and the food has been consistent. They have balloon artist to make balloons for kids as well! Overall, totally recommend!
