::Absolutely useless! Just a run-around-the-rosy of obfuscation. Gheesh! I thought our government websites were bad. And the Phone? WHY BOTHER TO HAVE PHONE LINES IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO ANSWER; JUST SEND PEOPLE TO YOUR USELESS WEBSITE! PM May should be proud. Being of heritage myself (Chapman is as Saxon as you can get--from West Walton area) I am as ashamed of what the once mighty Empire has become... in addition to what the USA has recently become. I am struggling to not find the prospects for sanity just plain hopeless.

::Wow. It is true that if I could leave negative stars I would do so. You can't speak to anyone on the phone, consulate transferred me to a message not a real person. When I emailed them with a simple question whether a green card holder would need a visa, they responded that they do not handle visa questions at Washington location and I can call and pay so much per minute plus a cost of phone call to get some help.

::Called with a question and received the rudest treatment on the phone. The lady was unwilling to listen to my question (couldnt even get half of the sentence finished as she cut me off), as I kindly requested if I could ask her my question as that was my reason for calling she just exploded. It is a mystery to me how such attitudes are employed at the embassy of all places! She didnt help me. At all.

::It’s perfectly competent and efficient in relation to the official duties that it’s meant to perform. The staff are not there to answer on the telephone questions in relation to visas and passports, the answers to which are fully and readily available in writing on the relevant websites. The negative comments are somewhat misguided.

::No idea why so many of the reviews of this place are negative. I lost my passport and wallet whilst travelling the USA. Booked an appointment for an Emergency Passport online, followed the process and they even mailed me my Emergency Passport to a hotel I was staying at later on in my trip so that I could continue my plans. I had no issues using the Emergency Passport and the Embassy were even helpful and responsive to me when my scheduled flight out of Miami was cancelled (due to Hurricane Irma) and I had to get a flight out on a different date.
