::My oldest daughter started at Bright Star when she was 14 months old and has been attending full time ever since. She has been in all three class rooms and all three have been great. The staff has always been caring, positive, and very helpful (especially when potty training). My wife and I have been very happy with our choice to have our daughter at BSELC.

::Our child has attended Bright Star for the past year and we couldn't be happier with the care and learning experiences provided. The teachers develop engaging curriculum that keep the kids busy, engaged and eager to learn. Our child continues to gain from being here, and is building important relationships with friends and teachers. It is obvious that the teachers care deeply for the children. I find them to be very attentive to specific needs, handle situations professionally, and create an sense of community with the families. As another reviewer mentioned, the facility is not as new or spotless as some centers, but I can't fault a nonprofit for not having a brand new facility. They have done very well with the space to create a safe and engaging environment for the kids. The price is also very reasonable for the location and hours provided.

::We love Bright Star! Our daughter has been in all 3 rooms now and we have had a great experience with all of her teachers. It is a small center and the director works hard to make it feel like a strong and caring community. We feel as though they know our daughter very well. *Also, regarding the negative review below - it was investigated by the city twice and determined to be unfounded.*

::PARENTS BEWARE! My son attended Bright Star for a year and a half. At first we thought they were ok. Not the nicest pre-school around but it was a very convenient location for us. After he turned 3 and entered a new classroom he came home on two separate instances and told me a specific teacher had hit and scratched him. The second time he had actual bruising on the back of his neck! I obviously brought this to the attention of the school. From that point on it turned into a nightmare. The situation was so poorly handled by the director I couldn't believe it. I really think they were more concerned with losing another teacher (they seem to have a high turnover) than they were with allegations of abuse at their pre-school. They initially only agreed to move the teacher to another classroom but never actually even followed through with those actions. Eventually they told us that just wasn't convenient for them. Basically I think they were trying to force us out of the school so they could sweep this situation under the rug before other parents found out. Because of state laws they were at least required to report the incident and they will be investigated. Meanwhile this teacher continues to have daily contact with children and they seem ok with that. We have obviously moved schools and are much happier. Even if this teacher was removed or left the school the way this situation was handled by the administration says volumes abut how they operate.

::We absolutely love Bright Star... we have one child with severe food allergies and they have gone above and beyond to take care of our child and provide him with the same experience as his peers. The cook and his teacher's go out of their way to research recipes for treats so that he is not left out during birthday celebrations. I believe our children are loved and cared for all day long. When we ask kindergarten teacher's their experience with students from Bright Star they share that they are often ahead of their peers and are well prepared. Bright Star has been wonderful for our family.
