  I am 21 years old. I have been scared of getting breast cancer ever since it is so common these days. It seems like it is difficult to find until it is too late. I feel like there is little help when it comes to detecting breast cancer at an early stage. So when I found out about Breast thermography I read and studied as much as I could about it. I made an appointment at Dr. Malavenda's Breast Thermography Center to have breast thermography. I didn’t really know what to expect going in. I learned a lot about my risk of getting cancer. When I finished my appointment, I had learned that there are many risk factors that affect my chances of getting breast cancer and many things that as women we are never made aware like using birth control, benefits of breast feeding and many others. I learned that much of my risk are caused by inflammation more than anything else. The Doctor was very informative and gave me all kinds of materials to learn more about how to prevent getting an inflammatory disease and reducing my risk of breast cancer. I left my appointment knowing that I can do something about my health than just waiting to get sick and being at the mercy of none or little cures. I can reduce my chances of developing breast cancer. In addition to making lifestyle changes to improve my breast health, I will be able to monitor the results of my efforts with annual breast thermography. I really wish more women would pay attention to advanced technologies available for prevention of Breast cancer.
