::Amazing scrambles and views

::Overall a great hike. Once you start on the trail you have many different routes that you could take. Breakneck Ridge is a fun hike and the beginning has quite a bit of rock scrambling so make sure you can climb a little bit. Depending on the trail that you take, will have quite a few ups and downs(elevation change). Make sure you bring plenty of water and some snacks.

::Vigorous hike in the beginning, as elevation gain is constant and steady. Trails are clearly marked. Gets busy quick, so you'll need to take alternative paths to avoid standing in a queue on the initial ascent.

::Took the Metro North train up here on a Saturday morning to do some hiking. It's a steep and strenuous hike at some parts, but the views of the Hudson River are worth it. Word of warning though, if you are looking for peace and quiet, or to get away from people, this may not be the hike for you. Being fairly close to the city and easily accessible, it was very crowded, even early in the day. As I was heading back to the train around 1pm, a group of about 40 people were walking along the road towards the start of the trail. I'm sure it's probably less crowded on weekdays, however the train only stops here on weekends. Lots of trash and graffiti at some parts of the trail, due to the crowds. It is a very well marked and well maintained trail, and there was a tent set up at the trail head with people handing out maps. The kid there was super helpful and very knowledgeable. Definitely worth doing at least once, just be prepared for the crowds and bring lots of water.
