::After having done their baby boot camp event (which covers most of their pregnancy/newborn classes) we decided to book a private Infant/Child CPR and First Aid class for us and our families to attend. We had Melanie as our nurse/instructor who came to our place to lead the class - and she was so great! There was a Boston NAPs slideshow that she went through - that covered all the bases and more. We were able to ask questions comfortably and the class seemed to run at our leisure. They bring all the equipment needed - baby CPR models as well as adult CPR models to practice on. While being very informative and professional it was also comfortable and fun. We wanted to go this route since most hospitals' classes only allow for the patient and partner to attend the class and our close family and friends who will be around or taking care of our child a lot wanted to be able to take the class too. The feel of the Boston NAPs classes in general I think seem more comfortable and pleasant, the nurses seem more passionate and caring to really make sure you feel good about the information and can ask questions whether it be about those specific class topics or anything else relating to pregnancy, post partum, socially, logistically, schools, daycare etc. We definitely have been happy with all the services we've taken advantage of that they offer thus far - and we know we would want to use them in the future for any needs that come up from lactation, to newborn care, and even their weekly classes. We're very happy we ended up trying out Boston NAPS, and will continue to use their services as needed!

::My wife and I participated in the Boston NAPS "Baby Bootcamp" a few weeks ago. I can't recommend it highly enough. Emily and Jamie run a thorough, professional program. All questions are answered. There's just enough break-out sessions to keep it interactive. I found the content informative. They cover a lot of ground, in a short period of time, without it feeling rushed. Newborn behavior, diaper changing, swaddling, breastfeeding, stages of labor, when to go to the hospital, what babies look like, what's going on in the body during delivery. Soup to nuts - it was covered. The atmosphere is light and fun, which encourages a supportive atmosphere. I expected it to be cheesy and geared exclusively to the moms. But I never really felt out-of-place throughout the day. I walked away far more knowledgeable than I came in. It gives you that last confidence injection you need before the big day. Definitely impressed, definitely exceeded expectations - and I'll be telling my buddies about it when they start having kids.

::I attended multiple classes and found the classes well led, engaging and highly informative. The class notes that are provided are a great resource to refer back to. I highly recommend Boston NAPS to all first time parents!

::Boston NAPS has been a life-saver before and after the birth of my first baby--From labor and delivery classes to lactation support and sleep coaching. Emily is an NP and is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and empathetic. She helped me tremendously when I was a new mom, learning to breastfeed and trying to get started with pumping, etc. When my son was around 5 months old we reached out to NAPS to work with their sleep coach, Ellen, who is also an NP. She developed a plan that was tailored to our baby, our lifestyle and our comfort level to help get his sleep back on track. It worked! He started sleeping through the night not long after, and thanks to Ellen, we now know how to better handle any regressions that come our way! It's so reassuring to know that we have such a great resource in NAPS--I would highly recommend them!

::This is a long review! Boston Naps has saved my and my family's sanity over and over again. We've used Boston Naps for Bottle Training, Lactation Consultant visit and Infant Care private class. More info below. After missing our initial infant care class due to pregnancy ickiness (that's a technical term), my husband and I did a private class at home. It was so great to be able to go at our own pace and ask questions without feeling too dumb. The nurse was thorough and friendly, and we felt more empowered as a couple for when the baby would arrive. After the baby got here, we've had more help sessions from Boston Naps -- including a Bottle Training session and Lactation Consultation. First of all, the Bottle Training nurse was extremely patient and so committed to helping my husband learn as much as my daughter. I was able to leave the house while they figured out how to make it work. My daughter continued to take a bottle every day after her visit and is now in day care taking multiple bottles. The Lactation Consultation was done by Emily. My daughter had been diagnosed with acid reflux and was medicated, but still very very fussy at meal times. Emily helped me try out a few positions and in general talk about my daughters needs given the medication and symptoms she was having. I felt listened to and encouraged by Emily. I recommend the LC service to anyone who tells me they're thinking of breastfeeding.
