  We took the ferry from here to Charlestown to see the USS Constitution and Bunker Hill Monument. Because the ferry is run by the MBTA, which also runs the subway and city buses, a valid CharlieCard or CharlieTicket will work here. It might be possible to pay on board but I cannot confirm this. There is a ferry leaving every 30 minutes (more frequent during peak hours). Check the MBTA website for the schedule. The trip takes 20 minutes and offers amazing views of the Boston skyline and harbor. From the Charlestown ferry station, it's a 10-minute walk to the USS Constitution, and a 20-minute walk to Bunker Hill.

  Gorgeous but frigid in the winter. I couldn't get any closer as the wind was intense. The seafood and other tasty treats and drinks in the area make up for it.

  Great place to pass by. Very scenic. Good restaurants are scattered around, the aquarium is there, whale watching tours access, 7-11. Feels very central.
