  Best meat in the area! Not so happy they are not making their jerky this season. The main reason I go there

  I was skeptical buyer when I saw this place selling fried chicken, never heard of Broaster franchise brand. I have to say; it's the best fried chicken I ever had. Better than KFC, Cub Foods, and Hy-Vee fried chicken...by a long shot. Comparing to Tinucci's, it's about even. It probably has to do with their fried pressure cooker, but I can't say for sure; it's damn good. I ordered a 4 piece: breast, wing, thigh, and drumstick. Con: not too many sides; I'm assuming they will get more in the future and it's on the pricier side. Besides the hot fried chicken Borchert's sells, I enjoy ordering their selection of meats especially the brats in the summer and the everyday essentials the small store carries.

  I liked the chicken breast so far. One time the breasts went bad fairly quickly, and another time they lasted a while in the refrigerator..That is all I will buy there though, the burger is way more pink than Ive seen it at other meat markets (moved from northern, mn). The deep freezers in the middle of the store had a bunch of somewhat random freezer burned stuff in it. I did buy a gluten free pot pie which was good. I thought the meat looked awful all freezer burned and piled up like that. Clearance-type labeling taped up on the sides. Oh Yes, I will continue to buy their BBQ sauce. It's some of the best I've ever had! They do alot of prep work (stuffed, seasoned meat) which is very nice for busy families and looks good and fresh enough. Good selection on their grocery as well. Nice, helpful staff at the meat counter, very knowledgeable and greeted me right away. They went above and beyond on the customer service end.
