::I love blink I been a member since 2015, I believe this location is too over crowded And that is a fact that I can’t hide, it don’t matter at what time you go the gym is always full of ppl. The stuff is friendly and the location is clean. I will keep attending the gym because is closer to my home but overall it’s a good place to work out. Excellent location if u don’t mind working with a lot of ppl.

::As a previous employee who helped open this location back in 2015, This location was so beautiful, brand new sparkling un used equipment with a above-average staff and smaller crowds. After the unfairly demise of my first manager that location has gone totally downhill, in terms of customer service and cleanliness. The equipment of the gym is certainly not the problem, they have good stuff not everything but mostly everything. The problem is the uneducated crowds from the area and the unqualified staff they seem to always hire. I sure miss this place and tried working out a couple of times here to get used to it but I just can't, cannot focus, way too crowded, incompetent staff and bad memories.

::I went to this particular location because it's located in the Bronx where I currently reside. In all honesty, I have to say, I was rather underwhelmed. There were two employees at the front desk (both Latino, a taller guy and a shorter girl, both probably in their early-mid twenties) who were heavily engaged in their own conversation-engaged to the point that they hardly gave me any acknowledgement, other than the guy scanning my membership in. Not a "Hello, welcome to Blink". Not even a "Hey, man, how's it going today?" Absolutely nothing. Eye contact was also incredibly poor from both parties. After I changed into my gym clothes, I scanned the vicinity, looking for the bathroom. I noticed the same young man from the front desk & asked him where the bathroom was (as it was my first time being at this specific location). In an irritated tone he flicks his wrist & says "It's over there, man". Really??? Why the snarky tone?? Totally unnecessary. Post workout, as I'm leaving the gym, there is a different employee at the front desk (short, robust build with a scruffy beard) &, yet again, no acknowledgment. Not a "Enjoy the rest of your evening". Not even a "Have a good one". Again, Absolutely nothing. This is the second location that I have been to that did not exude in customer service (Chelsea was the first). It has gotten to the point that I wanted to cancel my membership & go back to Planet Fitness, but therein lies other issues-customer service is just as poor, unkempt bathrooms, certain locations with non-working equipment with NO signage of any kind (just a few of the many flaws that's wrong with that company). I chose Blink Fitness because the equipment was usable, the staff that I had met at the time (Harlem location, which I will try again) had effervescent, infectious smiles & encouraged me to go about things as far as working out at my own pace (in the time that I have joined the gym, I have lost almost 20 pounds). Both Riverdale & even Chelsea have failed (the former rather miserably) at the one thing everyone from customers to critics of companies & other venues: acknowledgment of customers. Being that I work in customer service for the majority of my working experience (11 years & counting), I have come to the realization that although one cannot please EVERY customer, the very LEAST you can do (if not be productive) is to give the customer acknowledgment while they stand before you, WAITING to be acknowledged. I did not any receive kind of acknowledgment (much less a hand wave) that from Riverdale location-especially in an area that has rather busy foot traffic (there is Starbucks, a gateway mall of some sort, etc.). Although it is obvious that one can't work miracles (not even sure if folks take the time to read these reviews), but I hope that management (Riverdale, specifically) soon will come to the epihpany that this kind of counterproductive, absent-minded behavior-(beginning AND ending at the front desk, mind you) is not okay at all. Especially when it comes to customers who basically put their hard-earned money (20 bucks may not seem a lot, but I'm sure those multiple twenty-something bucks per client has paid bills in that location as well as others) into coming to a place where they can improve themselves. In a nutshell: get it together.

::The best gym in the area and one of the best Blink gyms in the city in terms of the upkeep of the machines, cleanliness and overall experience. You have to know what you’re coming here for. Many people seem to expect white glove treatment but only pay $25 or less per month. I believe the staff only makes minimum wage so OF COURSE they aren’t going to go above and beyond! It is crowded during peak times but there are ways to avoid that, try to be in and out between 5am-9am 11am-4pm and 9pm-12am during the week. The weekends are pretty easy.

::Some staff at this location don't have any costumer service at all. My membership expired and I went to talk to the help desk person. I told the guy that i did the renewal online and he was giving me short responses with attitude. This people are getting paid because of us and they don't want to do their job. Another young man did help me but i decided to go to another Gym. They lost 3 costumers because two of my friends were there to join in.
