  I loved it! Airy, chewy in a positive way and juicy! Had a coffee glazed one. Perfect for me. So good that I went back and had another one, this time Vanilla. Honestly, I don't care that much about frosting, it's the dough which is important to me. And this is just great.

  Stumbled upon this place by accident and I'm so glad I did. I went for the vanilla glazed doughnut for $3 and it was amazing. It was a good size too. I'll definitely be back here every day that I'm in Boston!

  Happy days are here again!!! Places like this is what this country was built on!!! As you enter, the smell of freshly baked donuts fills your senses and the curiosity of their taste takes over your mind :) You take notice to the cleanliness within and a nicely set up visual display of what is causing you to forget all your troubles. At that point you are greeted with a sincere warm friendly smile. Service = 10 Atmosphere = 10 Cleanliness = 10 Presentation= 10 Operation = 10 Taste = 10 Good job Black Bird!!!   I tried this place last weekend and really liked the donuts. I got glazed and the coffee donut as well as a drip coffee. The glazed was definitely a winner among the two, as it was soft and slightly sweet. The dough had a nice texture as well. I will be going back and trying other flavours as well (lemon poppy and Boston creme)

  Tasty and unique donuts. The donut itself is think and has texture. The sweet glazings contrast the unsweetened insides. Come early as the good ones sell out fast.
