  Don't expect it to be a bakery with cupcakes and pastries, it was more of a coffee shop with sandwiches. I didn't eat anything but it LOOKED cool?

  I am writing this review on the location at 73rd and Columbus on the UWS. I have visited this location multiple times now over the past month. The new manager, Shimi, has completely turned this location around. The bakery is cleaner, operations are more efficient (faster lines, better in-stock), and the overall staff seems happier. Shimi herself is awesome and is always so friendly, greeting people when they come into the store. The food itself even tastes more fresh; I get the sense they are not letting it sit out for as long as they did in the past.

  It’s a very quiet Monday, not too busy but the basics have let this place down. Every surface is dirty - including the chairs and windows. There was no sugar out - until I mentioned it. There was some syrup out but they were sticky. No prices or descriptions on any of the items, which meant a nice shock of $16 for a single coffee and two halves of a panini. Ouch. Food and coffee were good, but the cost and cleanliness means we won’t return.

  Love their whole wheat croissants, but frustrated by the inconsistent level of service. Sometimes I arrive around 7:30am, and while they are open, they are not ready to serve anyone. The other day I arrived at 7:55 giving them plenty of time. They were open and ready? but their bakery delivery had not arrived so no croissants, etc. Who is running this show?

  Organic salads, incredible pastries& cookies, friendly staff in a warm, soft-music environment with comfortable chairs, large windows, and even a small bathroom - a perfect place!
