  Lovely hipster coffee shop in South Side. The place has inside and outside tables. Coffee is served in a mug or a paper cup. Quiet to study or do work.

  Big Dog impressed me - to say the least! Me and my friends assorted espresso drinks were amazing from the first to the last sip. They serve Intelligentsia Black Cat Espresso which is probably the best I've had. The prices are EXTREMELY reasonable too. I will for sure be back!!

  So happy to not have to go to Starbucks! Loved my mocha and cookie. Recommend you go there to see art too. Very congenial atmosphere.

  The service at Big Dog is not only better than most coffee shops, it outshines most restaurants. The employees are friendly, polite, and professional. I've visited Big Dog all hours of the day and on weekends and week days. My experiences have been consistently excellent. The seating area is always clean and organized and the coffee and pastries are always fresh. They also have a hot oatmeal bar, with over 10 select toppings, which makes for a great start to the day!

  Good coffee and food. I found the service to be pretty slow. I had intended to sit down for 10 minutes to eat the bread I bought, but there were no tables available. Seems like the space could be arranged better to accommodate both the laptop warriors staking out tables for hours all alone, and the people who want to drop in and out. Overall, a nice place. I would go back when in the area.
