::Donβt go HERE EVER

::I don't live in Fairview, NJ any longer (I moved to Seattle in June 2016), but when I did, I went here to use the printers or the free wifi sometimes. It's a nice library with friendly staff.

::This library makes me very uncomfortable. Two people working here were saying some very racist comments. 20 minutes before closing, after everyone left, they starting talking very loudly, which was very annoying, but I was like whatever theyβve had a long day I donβt mind. Then, they just kept saying racist comments, one after the other, some subtle, some not so much (ironically, after all the βimmigrantsβ just left the library). They complained about cities where there are too many immigrants (they kept repeating this), about immigrants stealing jobs, etc. I was debating whether to post this, and Iβm sure theyβre very nice people who made a mistake, but Iβm sick of these kinds of hurtful comments, especially considering this area is VERY ethnically-diverse. And, this is a public library. I have a 2-year old daughter who loves to read, and Iβm not taking her to a library where people casually talk like this.
