::This Funeral home is the worse ever, especially the Funeral Director Ms. Octavia Waugh. I buried my dad this year and I was hung up on, lied to and disrespected by Ms Waugh. It all started, when I told Mr. Ronald Owens-part owner, that I did not think my dad was legally married to the lady and what does the funeral home do in situations like this? Now, this is were it goes down hill and people start to take things personal. Mr. Owens said, “why do you think that” and I said, “why do you believe that”. Then he said, we would check the marriage certificate in situations like that. I told him did you see a marriage certificate? He said no but they been together for so long. Wow, so no legal documentation. Well, I need to see a marriage certificate. So of course Mr. Owens passed it along to Ms Waugh. Then, I called Ms Waugh and she told me that it was public record and they were married in DC, yelling and then hung up. Come to find out it is public record but they were never married in DC. So, Ms Waugh lied and then tried to cover it up when she actually received the marriage certificate from Virginia. Ms Waugh called me back to act like, she done her job but what she fail to realize the marriage certificate was null and void, due to my Dad was still legally married to my mom. So, now the Funeral home was aware and had legal documentation that I was next of kin in one day and they still put the lady, who was not legally married to my dad on the Death Certificate. This Funeral home is very unprofessional and they go by word of mouth and if your a friend of theirs. They need to run a professional business.

::I would like to thank Octavia Waugh and Tatum Jamison for the exemplary job they did with assisting me and my brother Sterling Metz with the memorial service for his deceased wife Ulrike Metz on September 9, 2017. Our needs and questions were met beyond our expectations. Every detail was handled professionally with style, class, compassion and understanding. We will definitely give our support and recommendations to friends and family for years to come. Sincerely, Rosalyn Irving and Sterling B. Metz
