  Absolutely beautiful restaurant in a perfect CWE setting. I smell them cooking all day long and finally decided to try it today. I placed my order to go and it did not take long to get my food, however I was very disappointed with the overall taste and quality of my pulled pork sandwich. Meat was overly salty and did not have much smoke flavor and the BBQ sauces I felt were very underwhelming.

  I recently attended a FREE whiskey tasting, a regular feature every second Thursday of the month. I've attended just about all of them since this jewel opened a few years ago. What better way to sample some of the world's finest whiskeys than a FREE whiskey tasting? Each tasting has a vendor present a line, like Scotch whiskey last month, to Kentucky bourbon the next. The BBQ is pretty good too, from the generous chunks of pulled pork to the exotic feature such as camel burger or even rabbit. The service is always great.

  Bomb ass bar. Bartender was really good and kept us supplied with different whiskies. The food was also very good. Great selection of whiskey and very affordable.

  Solely basing this review on food. Had to check out this place after all these raving reviews... and couldn't have been more disappointed. I got the BBQ chicken, and it was the driest thing I have ever eating. I had to load it with BBQ sauce (house made) to get it down. The corn bread (one of my favorite foods), was dry as well (tasted like cornbread and nothing special). The place is NOT cheap at all, so I had to ensure I ate my full $15 dried out chicken meal. Very disappointed and won't be back as there are a few other BBQ spots (in St. Louis) that are head and shoulders above this place. Nice atmosphere though..

  One of the lesser known barbecue places in St. Louis. Not cheap but good food with large portions. Excellent ribs and pulled pork. The surprise is the smoked turkey and the garlic green beans. If you are whiskey fan it is hard to find a bigger selection with 2 oz. pours standard. Again, not the cheapest place to drink but fair prices for both whiskey and food. We often get the sample for $38 and split it. Our other option is a full rack of ribs for $26, which we also split.
