::I love stopping by the Bazaar Spices shop in the Atlantic Plumbing building. It's great browsing their selection of global spices and herbs while tasting their handcrafted iced tea blends. The owners and staff are friendly and happy to engage in conversations about food, natural health, culture and travel. I particularly love their inclusion of African spices, sauces, cookbooks and kitchen goods. Next time you're in the area, definitely stop in!

::Preparing an exotic meal? Creating an herbal beauty tonic or aromatherapy? Looking to make you own tea blend? Look no further than Bazaar Spices, as they offer an enormous variety of herbs and spices. You’ll also experience great customer service from their friendly and knowledgeable owners and staff. The location is easily accessible in the increasingly vibrant north end of Shaw neighborhood. Even when I’m not in the market for spices but in the neighborhood, I love to stop in for tea or infused water. Oh, and the shop smells amazing!!

::Definitely the best spice shop I have been to! I also love that I can get a cup of tea from the counter while browsing for spices and gifts. The team there is really helpful when you don't know exactly what you want and their suggestions always result in great flavors. Go visit!

::As a vegetarian, and as someone who loves learning about cultures from around the world, I love that I can get plant-based staple foods and high-quality spices for making traditional and fusion vegan dishes from around the world. Plus their workshops are a great resource for vegetarians and for learning new global cuisine dishes. The newest branch in the Atlantic Plumbing building has a cool bar with non-alcoholic drinks. I'll take their chicory-and-cola-nut drink over coffee any day.

::This place is a gem! First off, the quality is delicious. What I had in the pantry before paled in comparison (seriously my bay leaves just looked sad). Second, the range is more than you'd expect from a small spot (where else can you find sweet potato flour, gentian root and aleppo pepper in one place?). Lastly, the people that work there are SUPER nice and knowledgeable. They're not pushy and gave recommendations I would've never come up with myself (I haven't branched too far with my cooking...hence my visit to the spice shop). Also, they offer a lot of really cool services. They've got a cute little bar with drinks, classes, and offer grinding whole spices on the spot. Definitely will be back!
