::I have been to this establishment for over 5+ years. The atmosphere is great of course , the service good..but the food was terrible..so over the years they changed chefs (thank god).. and I'm happy to say the food is much better, service is always good, however there is a heavy set bartender who is always unhappy , rude, and obnoxious..he really puts a damper on this restaurant, as many times as I've been there he is never happy and always nasty..they need to replace this man!

::Great food, drinks menu and service. The location and view is spectacular and relaxing. Live music by solo guitarist Tom Maxwell was awesome and made lunch today lots of fun for everybody. Only recommendation I'd make is the menu could be a bit longer.

::Never again! We love outdoor seafood restaurants, we happened to be in East Islip and wanted some delicious lunch. Our sever was nice, and our drinks were good, but that was about it. We ordered the oysters to start.....that was a bad choice...they must have shucked them that morning( we had lunch around 2pm) they were dry and sticking to the shell with a yellowing border, requested the calamari instead....it was a bit bland. We ordered the lobster roll and the crab cake sandwich, needless to say we were a bit cautious of our food. The lobster roll is definitely not worth the $28.99 as it barely filled the croissant. The fries were soggy. Over all it surprises me that a seafood restaurant will not prepare everything to order. Will not go back, that was the worst $100 lunch we've ever had.

::This place is spectacular. I was looking for a casual waterfront restaurant for my birthday, stumbled across Bayside, and decided to give it a try. The food was 10x better than I had anticipated and very reasonably priced. We ordered the oysters, conch fritters, BBQ bacon scallops, bass, fish & chips, and the soft shell crab BLT. Despite the cafe appearance, the plastic plates, cups & service-ware, the food was 4 star restaurant quality. A+ spot for great casual food, with a fantastic view and live music.
