  WASTE OF TIME!!! Duggan is the utmost disrespectful, greedy, and malicious person on the beach! Do jot waste your time going to this vet as all he cares about is your wallet and his precious parking spaces. His services are over priced and you will have better service anywhere else on the beach. Eco Deco and VCA are both near the area and provide better services.

  My 4 year old toy Pomeranian loves going to the vet at Bay Road Clinic. I trust Dr. Dugan for already 3 years taking care of my pet and he always has good advice to keep it healthy, happy, and well trained. Whenever I travel I get the travel permit for my pet at Bay Road clinic or I request a recommended pet sitter here.

  Dr. Dugan is very attentive and is a great listener. My only wish is that he could be open 24 hours because I never want to go to animal hospital for a misdiagnosis again. He looks at the dog and can tell exactly what is wrong. He listens attentively to my history that lead to my dog's health issues and does his best not to over charge. Over paying when a small is dog is an easy thing to do and he is reasonable and helpful. He also has a calming effect on both me and my Coton de Tulear, which neither of us tends to be calm in moments of health issues. Thanks DR for your commitment to your practice and the good things you do for Angel whenever she is sick and at her annual visit.

  In May of 2012 my wonderful cat of 13 years developed a cancerous tumor in his jaw. Dr. Duggan and his staff were so kind and sympathetic, but also straight forward and frank about Cohiba's prognosis. He let me know what to expect as my cat became more ill which made me MUCH more comfortable and certain about the decisions I was going to have to make. When it was time to make that last decision, I was at least prepared mentally for it. Since I am also a "starving artist", he always tried to work with me (when he could) to help lessen the financial strain on me as well. Dr. Duggan never sugar coated Cohiba's condition and never tried to create a costly, complicated care plan which ultimately would have done nothing to keep my little guy alive. I'll always be grateful for the care my cat received at the end of his life as well as the care given to me during that difficult time. Now i have a rescued Chihuahua named Yoyo and I, of course, have put my trust in Dr. Duggan for all her medical needs as well. I highly recommend Dr. Duggan and his staff at The Bay Road Animal Clinic.

  I am a life long dog owner and a native of Miami Beach 40+ years. I have seen many a vet here come and go. Dr. James Duggan has been on the beach over 2 decades and has always provided my dogs with loving professional care and it never cost me an arm and leg. The hours are reasonable and I can get an appointment the same day in a pinch. I have seen another review that was not so kind and frankly seemed unfounded in fact to me. So take it from a native and longtime patient, you are in good hands with Dr. Duggan.
