  About 11 years ago, I used Basics Landscaping to redo the front of my house. We were so happy with the results that we decided to use them again for the back yard patio. I can be a tough customer and I usually do not use social media, but wanted to recognize this company and its employees. Michelle, who is one of the owners, has been handling the administrative end for us and she has been professional, precise, informative and quick to respond, when asked. Jay, who runs Sales / Design and is basically the Project Manager, is OUTSTANDING and was the original PM 11 years ago when I used them the first time. He doesn't miss a single detail, and treats the project as if it were his own property. He is regularly on site, and patiently listens to my numerous comments, with respect and concern. My two Foreman (Herman and Frankie) are also professional, responsive and great at what they do. The crew they have working with them is a hard working, neat, respectful group of guys. I really cant say enough good about this company. They have treated my home as my home, and not as a "jobsite". They will not be the cheapest estimate you get, but I can tell you that they WILL BE the most thorough and deliver far beyond the many details that they say they will. Give them a shot, leave your worries behind, and watch the magic that Jay and his crew leave behind when they are finished.....

  Nasty attitude from person handling the phones. Acts as if I'm doing her a favor by asking for services? Wouldn't recommend this company to ANYONE.

  DONT ever use this place. The most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered, plus terrible customer service added to the insufficient knowledge about outdoor products. I paid Farah $500 to provide computerized designs for my backyard. Obviously, I also wanted to see what they could offer as far as construction, so I asked about stones, bbq, etc for the backyard. They were quick to send a 70k proposal, and when I asked for a contractor to come so I can discuss the project, they said they only do this after you sign the proposal (what???, no thanks). After going to see them twice, and not being satisfied with their products, and being told incorrect information about outdoor stones about quality and price, I sent a courteous email that I had gone with another company. She told me this was "an unprofessional rude joke" and proceeded to go on for two paragraphs about how I was going to ruin my backyard and how her company was sooo much better and to send her pictures of my backyard so they can see the disaster after and show their customers these photos, all without knowing who I went with. After responding to her how unprofessional this was, she sent 3 more emails of incoherent babble claiming I was wrong, making the wrong decision, how I used them and wasted their time and mocking me. I was shocked at how these people talk to customers and even more shocked the owner allows their employees to talk to prospective customers like this. I was kind of on the edge about them given their negative reviews, but am sooo glad that I did not go with them, I caution others to not make the same mistake. Oh yeah, she then told me I was gullible for believing in Google and Yelp reviews, and I should be reading their customer reviews posted on their website....lol. OK! Horrendous company, look elsewhere. UPDATE - I just read the owner's comment, hillarious. So it wasn't Farah and it was some "other representative." Funny thing is the owner "Michelle C" was copied on all these emails between Farah and I, and she never stopped the "other representative" from sending those emails either, or directly apologized once to me on email. More proof these guys just lie.

  I used Basics to do a winter cleanup at my new home and they did such excellent work I can't wait to have them back in the Spring! They have such great design ideas!

  Basics Landscaping is a very detailed orientated company, from everything to the uniforms that the crews where to the consistent attention you receive by the office personnel. Their work is above all else that I have seen, they cleaned up everyday before they left, finished on time and were very efficient. I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family!!
