::I just wanted to thank BBE again. I don't know what I would have done without you last month when my family needed a place to stay for the week of my daughter graduation. The accommodations at the B&B in Apex was awesome. I am grateful for BBE help and hope you know what a great service you provide.

::I have been in Barter Exchanges for the past 30 years. When I moved to North Carolina 10 years ago I joined BBE and have been an active member ever since. If they do not have what I need they try to get it for me. The ownership and office staff are phenomenal. I have probably done over a million dollars of barter in my time as a newspaper Publisher and owner and quite a bit as a full-time consultant. Barter can be an excellent sales tool to attract new customers and I have always found a satisfied customer or client is your best referral. I fully recommend BBE for all your Barter needs in NC. ::We LOOOVE BBE!! We have been members for years and years and have always had super experiences. Karol is amazing!!! Sweet helpful and incredibly resourceful! From restaurants to services to travel BBE has it all. We have traveled often using BBE and it is great. This past summer we took a trip to NOLA and were blown away at all of the options available. Karol did everything. From food to lodging to attractions we had an amazing experience the whole week. It was super easy and really made our traveling experience extra special. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND BBE....super company super employees and super useful.

::I have been accepting BBE at my restaurant since 2007. I also signed up for ITEX around the same time, which I cancelled due to the fact that they screwed up my business listing 2 years in a row, their fees were high, it brought me very little business, and their customer service sucked (I wasn't even listed under restaurants or as a restaurant - just my business name with INC in a random section of their directory with nothing in the title to indicate that it was a restaurant.) What I love most about BBE is that it supports local small businesses and professionals. Nearly all the business I get from them (aside from our Dentist next door who gets a lot of my barter money and also spends a lot) is business that I wouldn't have otherwise received. I use it for things I would have used anyway) Also, the fees are low. BBE clients are some of the friendliest customers we have and the people it and the people at the office have always been helpful whenever I have had an issue. I use it a lot for my business (hood cleaning & grease trap, catering rental supplies, the list goes on) but I also use it for personal use - everything from massages, washing my car, buying jewelry, getting manicures and pedicures at the spa to house cleaning, dining at other restaurants, mechanics, vacation rentals at the beach and the mountains (Balsam Mountain Inn), a lawyer for my husband's speeding ticket, and the list goes on and on and on. Most of the businesses I've used have been great but there are a few I've been more than disappointed in. Not all businesses follow BBE rules so over the years I've had a few problems - an incompetent rude drunk web designer, a dishonest mechanic who inflated his prices for BBE customers, and 2 very rude guests they resolved those issues very quickly by adjusting or refunding my barter money and even calling the two rude guests for me the very next day to let them know they were not welcome to come back to our place, and if they continued to break the rules they would be kicked out of BBE. I'm pretty happy with what I receive from them but I would love seeing more BBE customers walking through my door.

::John Collier of Barter Business Exchange ruined my family's house hunting trip to St. Louis. I confirmed our desire to reserve a room the day he gave me the rate, and 2 days later after I had to called him, he said he would confirm the rooms, then he emails me (doesn't have the courtesy to call me) and informs that he cannot reserve the hotel rooms because they are all booked. It was a holiday weekend. All the hotels are booked now. My husband is in the military and we are not able to take time off whenever we want to. This trip had been planned, but was ruined by Barter Business Exchange.
