::Fantastic experience with absurdly creative and over-the-top-in-a-good-way presentations. The aesthetic is a little wild but you get used to it and start to love it after about 30 seconds. Fun fact as well, all the employees are all full time so there are no schedules, they are just all there all the time when the bar is open.

::This is definitely a different experience than your regular bar scene. We did the flight cocktail which comes with 6 mini drinks that are preselected. What I didn't know is that they change the drinks every quarter. So the drinks we had just came out that week. The good news is the drink experience had a theme. The bad news is the reason this experience takes 2hours is because your "dedicated" bar tender is not so dedicated because they fix drinks for you and others in the restaurant. For the amount of money you pay I wasn't a fan.

::Impressive to say the least. If you don't mind a bit of price and pretentiousness this is exactly what you want from a bar: great recipes, great service, the ability to hear people speaking to you, and a decor that makes you want to experiment in your own home.

::The best drinks and possibly the best food you've ever eaten in your entire life. Tragically hip atmosphere. If you only go to one bar in D.C., make sure it's this one. Pricey and requires reservations quite a bit in advance. It does mean, however, it's literally never crowded or noisy, since there are only like 25 people in there at most. Probably the best place for a date in the city.

::Definitely the best of the craft cocktail genre in DC. Is it fussy? Yes. There is extreme attention to detail, hyper knowledgeable staff, and an overly curated collection of weird seating and tchotchkes. But the options are a myriad of spirits, visual and taste combinations, and delivery. The staff know what they are doing. The space is comfortable and interesting (and offers many Instagram opportunities). I have never had a bad experience here, but one should recognize that it is less a bar and more like going to a restaurant. You are out when your reservation ends. The bar menu is small, but offers an interesting variety. Not many vegan options and you aren't going to get full here (unless you want to spend a lot of money). Plan to go before or after dinner. And definitely plan to go.
