::I have ordered freshly roasted beans from Barismo to brew at home and loved them, and their website tutorials introduced me to the wonders of the nel drip pourover, so I had to swing in to the cafe while I was in the area. I'm a simple man, not there to study or work away on a term paper on my laptop, I was just there to sip a cup of coffee and stare out the window. It was perfect for that. Best pourover I've had, personally.

::Really tasty espresso! Large, open space with food, pastries, and coffee. The espresso was lovely—this isn’t a coffee-only place, so no options for different beans that I could see, but still better coffee than blue bottle/chains and more food-focused cafes nearby. I’m excited to come back!

::Barismo used to be my favorite coffee shop in Cambridge (or anywhere really) but it has declined so much recently. The chef must have changed because the food is now flavorless and below average, the barista is rude and treats customers as an annoyance, and it’s so quiet and lacking in atmosphere now. They never revitalized after their COVID shutdown—very sterile. On top of it, it’s one of the most expensive coffee shops in the area. Sadly, I won’t return again.

::The lack of wifi is annoying enough since the only reason I go to coffee shops is to work. But the chicken quesadilla was dry and flavorless. It's as if they never heard of spices, and the chicken was overcooked (hence being dry). To their credit, the cold brew was actually pretty good. But I really wish I had just walked to the 1369 that's 5 minutes away. To top it all off, the atmosphere was eerily sterile: The baristas don't want to talk to you, there's no music playing, and all you can hear is the buzz of the kitchen machines.

::Wish I could give 10 stars!!! Not an understatement to say this breakfast sandwich changed my life. So filling, so delicious, there were even some delicious vegetables too. It’s a good news/bad news situation that I don’t live in the neighborhood so I can’t have this everyday but boy if I did… Great staff, great coffee, great food. Go!!!
