::I was placed here by my office due to rate, i guess the vibe is suppose to be late 60s early 70s. As a weekly business traveler, i look for 4 things- convenience, a clean Bathroom, work area and quite so i can sleep. Well, the location is close to downtown dallas but with all the choices that i could walk from a $7 uber ride is not my idea of convenience. The Bathroom is original 60s or 70s era yellow pink and aqua. While it might be clean it looks and feels dirty. There is a desk area and free wifi so a plus. As for Noise could be room placement looking at a big Neon Bank Sign and what felt like an off ramp to the turnpike. Cars and Ambos until very late. Felt like and interstate motel. Just first night of 3, might grow on me has Bar and there is some well rated food places nearby, but rough start.

::I was at the Belmont Bar early on a Saturday evening. Small casual friendly atmosphere. You can sit outside and watch downtown Dallas across the river. It's a hotel bar in the Belmont Hotel. Lots of character compare to the industrial strength locales that are downtown. Yet very close to the downtown.

::Very comfortable and relaxing place!

::A lovely bar and lounge with a spectacular view of the Dallas skyline. Food was good, the drinks were nice alongside live music and the atmosphere was great. Staff and service was excellent. Clientele was artists, hipsters, young professionals, agents, intellectuals and singles looking to mingle. A very cozy and intimate historic place in a great up and coming neighborhood that is fast becoming the next hot spot with developments underway everywhere you turn. The view has been blocked somewhat by the high-rise apartments that were completed just down the street. Rumor mill has it the Belmont is going to add a rooftop patio addition or separate tower to make up for that, If you don't live in West Dallas, Trinity Groves, Lake Cliff, Kessler Park or Stevens Park, this may be a bit out of the way. But if you happen to be near Downtown Dallas and want to try something new, this classy cocktail spot is definitely worth the drive and checking out.

::BarBelmont is one of my top bars in Dallas to bring visitors... actually, if they're visiting from far away, you may want to stay here too! But I'm not reviewing the hotel... simply the bar. Honestly, the best view OF downtown that you can get anywhere in the city. It was a cool 90 degrees outside, but they have misters that spray around the edges to keep the patio area cooled off. The prices are steep, but you must remember that you're visiting a hotel. And they're not bad drinks at that. The staff was normal bar staff (I expected a tad better), but there was a live 3 piece jazz band playing for about an hour at sunset. Made a great mood as the evening came upon us. It was a great first stop on bar-hopping night, and we'll definitely be back in the future for one of their many events. Definitely have to check it out in the fall too... maybe I'll wear my classy suit, a fedora, and have a fresh cigar with a glass of scotch.
