::This is fast becoming our local go-to. They have a great selection of wines and the best happy hour deal around: $7 per glass wines (red, white, rose) and prosecco, 5pm-8pm daily. The staff is wonderful and they usually offer a complimentary snack or one of their delicious italian toasts with the drinks. The atmosphere is chill and the noise level low enough for conversation.

::Discovered this weeks-old and unmarked (as of Jan 2018) outpost of Bar Veloce after a Friday evening PWYW visit to the Whitney, and it was just-right. Music playing but not so loud? Check. People there but not jam packed? Check. Food and wine tasty and reasonably priced? Check. Pleasant but unpretentious? Check. Friendly, knowledgeable bartender with the highly apropos name of Cheer?
