We take our wonderful kitty here. They do a nice job taking care of him. The prices are reasonable and for first time customers they have a $40 coupon off your first visit on their website.

PLEASE DO NOT EVER EVER EVER TAKE YOUR PET HERE! Hereā€™s my story: I know itā€™s lengthy, but PLEASE read it before considering this vet. Please. Iā€™m a 1st time dog Mom w/ an 8 mo old boxer. I took him to get his nails trimmed 2 weeks ago during my lunch break. I was reading up on ā€œdog tipsā€ & realized that I had not had his nails trimmed in about 8 wks. I always had my vet clip them during his puppy appointments, but since he was fully vaccinated, I had not been to the vet in 2 mos/didnā€™t know I needed to take him for a trimming. I walked in& the girl looked at my dogs nails& said they couldnā€™t trim him because one of his nails was split&looked infected. They told me to take him back to Banfield to be looked at.(Banfield is the vet inside Petsmart). Now - looking back on this, my BIGGEST MISTAKE was taking my dog back there. I should have thought this through, &took him to our vet. I was caught off guard, very taken back by the situation, so I didnā€™t think twice &I took him back there. (Now - if I would have thought for 5 min, I at least would have read the reviews. This place doesnā€™t have a 1.5 rating for no reason). Anyway - I was told the vet was booked solid & they would hold him for me so that I could go back to Work & theyā€™d work him in whenever the vet had time. 3 hrs later I get a call from the vet. She says ā€œoh ur dog is fine! Heā€™s doing great! We had to remove his toenail, but heā€™s in great shape! He will be on pain mediciation& an antibiotic, but we will explain all of that to u when u pick him up.ā€ I was honestly so happy to hear an update &One that included how well my dog was doing, I completely disregarded her statement. But on my way to pick my dog up I kept thinking - did they seriously remove his nail w/o calling me first? He is my child- why wouldnā€™t they call? When I picked my dog up, the vet had already left (it was about 6:05, mind you- she is so busy, yet they close at 7). Another tech brought him out to me. All nails were present, w/ one nail looking bloody, halfway there, almost botched. I asked which nail was missing, &the guy said he didnā€™t know. Here they had ripped half his nail off, put him on pain killers& antibiotics and sent us home. I thought ok, I donā€™t know what Iā€™m doing here - clearly the vet does. If she says itā€™s fine, itā€™s fine. So I gave him his antibiotics& followed her instructions. A week later (the following Wednesday) it looked even worse. I started to panic, &I began calling the vet asking questions. ā€œCan I bring him back in?ā€ ā€œI donā€™t think this is healingā€ ā€œit looks so much worseā€ ā€œhow can an open wound heal???ā€ Wednesday - when I called w/ all the questions - they were ā€œBOOKED SOLIDā€ so I accepted the only 1st available appt - Thurs at 6:15p. I missed the appt due to a work meeting. Knowing Banfield closes at 7p, I knew I would have to wait for it to open Friday. Fri rolls around - 9:02a I call & say I need to bring my dog in. Please. I drop him off & 5 hrs later Iā€™m told ā€œok we are just going to keep him on the anitibotics - heā€™s fineā€. Mind you- he still has an open goozing wound. Today I got worried because Iā€™m leaving for vaca - so when the vet finally called me for my 24hour follow up, 5 days later (what a joke) I told her I didnā€™t feel comfortable leaving my dog. I didnā€™t think she treated him properly. I think something more needs to be done. She took complete offense to this& said ok talk to my manager if you donā€™t agree with the treatmentā€ I gave her boss the details &she said sheā€™d pay the office visit fee ($40) for me to take him to another local Banfield in another local petsmart for a second opinion. So I left work, picked him up &took him. 10 mins of them examining him& they said he should have had the whole nail removed. 20 minslater - my dog is being prepped to be sedated &have surgery on his paw. All I could do was cry b/c WHY wasnā€™t this done 2 weeks ago???? BECAUSE THE VET DOESNT CARE& DIDNT WANT TO TAKE THE TIME TO CORRECTLY TREAT MY DOG. DO NOT PUT YOUR ANIMAL AT RISK - please go elsewhere.

Currently Iā€™m 45 minutes into a wait. I made the appointment for 4, it isnā€™t busy, and itā€™s almost 5. They only care about money, not your pet. The staff are rude and have constantly pushed the pet plus plan on us, even though we are already on it. This just proves they want your money. My recommendation, go somewhere else.

Rude staff. I was asked to weigh my pup as the 'help' muttered something and left the room. Everything was rushed and the exam for my pup was a quick glance and generic diagnosis. I'm not impressed that the vet 'studied' in the Caribbean. Avoid this mess and check out the Florence location. Far more knowledgeable/ friendly staff and the joint flows smoothly.

If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. While Dr. Neiman was very gentle with my cat and my feelings, I couldn't help but wonder if Banfield is only in it for the money. I took my cat to another vet and my concerns were resolved instantly (less than an hour) while I had to take my cat to this vet three separate times and they could not diagnosis him. If you want to get real attention to your pet, please seek somewhere else. I can promise you I"ll never take another pet here. Secondarily, while the actual vet seemed very knowledgable, I was repeated disappointed in the staff. It seemed like they were unsure on what they were talking about and scared to tell me the flat out truth. If you're like me and looking for the cold hard truth, the staff here will be unable to put themselves aside to tell you. I regret every penny I spent here. Don't fall for the "convenience" trap of it being inside a Petsmart, and certainly don't fall for the wellness plans BS. Go see a real vet and you'll get real answers and real results.
