  Was on the hunt for traditional Trinidad 🇹🇹 corn soup. Considered to be an after-party street food in Trinidad, this corn soup is rich, creamy, utterly satisfying, nourishing well seasoned with pigtail and delightfully filling. Was recommended this spot by someone who apparently has no idea what Caribbean cuisine is. I requested a small portion of their corn soup. What I got wasn’t what I’m used too. I ordered a small bowl and was expecting a scoring steaming piping hot bowl that would take me back to the streets of San Fernando on Jouvet morning. The bowl was filled with raimen broth and some strange stringy protein which looked like jelly fish, at the bottom of the bowl was corn kernels. It looked like egg drop soup with corn. I asked the cashier what was this? She said it’s corn soup with chicken. In all the decor was run down, the pastries weren’t appealing.

  Bamboo gardens used to be the spot to go to when you wanted some nice Guyanese Chinese food. But unfortunately it has gone to the dogs. They changed the chef and the food is horrible now, the rice is hard and the chicken is half cooked. At one point the grade was a "B", what turned me off the most was some eggshells I found in the rice after crunching down on it. The food is not worth it at all, stay away!

  The food was good. It was tastey & I enjoyed it. I ordered the shrimp & broccoli.. hot wings, & 3 cheese roll. The shrimp wasn't as big as the Bamboo in Ozone Park, but they were good. My wings came out, when I was finished my first dish (they tasted refried) because the waiter forgot to order them. He was a really pleasant guy, but he messed up my order twice. I still gave him a nice tip, because he was so pleasant..

  They have a huge party space in the back. You have to walk through the restaurant to get it to. I went there for a friend's event. It was a big enough space to dance and have a good time without bumping into someone.
