Bagels are great but order on the phone. I was put on hold while I was driving to the location and no one got back to me. Eventually ordered in person and stayed on hold at the same time. The owner eventually hung up the phone and never checked why no one hung up.

I have absolutely loved this establishment for a long time. Some of the best bagels in New York! Went here again today, while visiting family, for breakfast. Took my lady here for her first time. Their strawberry cream cheese is fantastic. Got a dozen and a half bagels to go back home with us to PA. (You can't find a decent bagel in PA at all) Always stop here when I'm back in New York.

Bagels are pretty good (I guess...I'm not a fan of bagels). I don't know if it's fair to bash their sandwiches or the sandwich makers?? They sucked. On 2 different occasions they made the completely wrong sandwich. Even with a simple bagel order. (I DID ask for it toasted.) I get they take dozens and dozens or orders per day, per employee. PERHAPS they get most of them just right. Listen to the order. Write it down neatly if you require notes. Assemble properly; with a dash of love and a bit of care. The Wild West BBQ Sandwich - DRY as can be. Umm, where are the onions?? Just not good. Too much money for poorly made sandwich.

Incredible food. They could easily lop 2 or 3 minutes minimum off your visit if they got it together in the efficiency of service. Sometimes frustrated by the line. Always worth the wait.

Joe, the owner, is a nice as they get. This locals favorite always seems to have veterans taking a coffee and chatting in am. Classic New York bagel shop deli, this seems to be a dying yet greatly appreciated breed. They have take home prepared foods in fridge and will make sandwiches of all those, not just on bagels. You can even get deli sugar cookies for the holidays. Bagels are good and actually a bit creative. Highly recommend as they supply many local retailers.
