  This is where I get all my tapestry weaving yarns, sewing machine bobbins, and Gütermann thread. It is such a lifesaver being in walking distance of my apartment.

  With the onslaught of small family owned businesses occurring throughout NYC, this place still survives as a long-standing yarn/craft store in Greenpoint. The two ladies, sisters, who run the business have been open for over 20 years and I hope they continue to stay open. The wide range of products available in this shop never ceases to amaze me! From varieties of zipper to colorful fabric, trim, ribbon, patches, thread, and more. As for their service, it has always been satisfactory. They are helpful and patient, who take the time to answer my questions or take something down for me. Just ask them and I am sure they will help! Come down to Greenpoint and support the local businesses such as this one!

  I live down the street from this place and it is amazing. I am here at least once a week stocking up on sewing supplies for my business. The place is small, but it's a lot like the cookie tins Grandma's have, where you have this super small little space that magically fits everything you need to sew anything. The woman at the counter has always been helpful, even when I take 400 years to choose between two different shades of purple embroidery thread which takes a level of patience I don't possess myself, so mega kudos to her.

  I would like to speak to the review that condemned the workers as unfriendly. The two ladies with whom my partner and I spoke, were remarkably helpful. Additionally, to the review that gave them a 4/5 star, noted that they're not overly chatty in a slightly negative view. These ladies work in a yarn store in Brooklyn and they help people. They probably get a lot of jerks in there. ONE MORE...their sign says "No refunds or exchanges!", well, we got the wrong length circular needles. Well guess what...not only did that exchange them for us, they fu*#@ng paid us back the difference. What excellent service. Thanks! (you're beautiful too!)
