Awesome coffee shop and roaster -- this is the source of what's probably the most popular coffee in the region. They have pastries from a nearby bakery as well and are very artisnal with their drinks. Don't expect anything frilly or very sweet tho, they don't have a set of syrups like many do. But if you like chocolate, you've got to try the mocha -- it's amazing!!

I have traveled far with this local spot of mine always on my mind when I walk into a foreign coffee dealer. It's definitely set the bar high for quality, atmosphere, and comfort. You must try if you're looking for a great cup.

So far the best roasted coffee that I've purchased in Texas, I've tried them all in Austin and at best Austin roasters are mediocre. I avoid Dallas so maybe someone is roasting some good coffee in D or Houston. I use to be addicted to Peet's aged Sumatra, but that has gone the way of the dodo. I bought a bag of their Guatemala Pastoria. Rich, balanced and roasted a little lighter than I prefer but still excellent. The coffee I bought at Avoca is really rich and freshly roasted. It is however, expensive. $13 for a 12 ounce bag. That's over $16/lb.

I am not a coffee connoisseur, but the coffee here, especially the mocha, seems just right. Rich tasting, a touch of sweetness but not too sweet in that you can taste both the chocolate and the coffee, not just the sugar. Kind of expensive, but you get a big cup, served nicely with an artistic flourish. Interesting art on the walls, comfortable. Hipsterish local vibe, but still friendly to families and those who aren't hipsters. You can see the room where they roast and grind their coffee, a nice touch. So good to have an independent, high-quality coffee place in Fort Worth. Local businesses like this have earned and deserved our strong support.

Been here a few times and really enjoy the old school coffee house feel. If you stay, you get a real mug. There are lots of different sized tables to accommodate different activities and plugs all along the wall for electronics. Parking can be an issue, but there are several lots and street parking near enough for it not to be a deterrent.
