  This has got to be one of the best bakeries ever. The place is open and inviting everything is fresh and home made. This is an overall feel good place. The aromas, the people, the prices are great. I usually get the plain or pecan sticky buns and the homemade pot pies that would bring tears to your eyes.

  Great food as always! We ordered catered lunch for a conference, 150 bag lunches and salads. We had a variety of choices and everyone loved them!

  Love the vibe of this place. Coffee and food have exceeded expectations. Had a roast turkey sandwich w pimento cheese that was delicious. I could just sit here and enjoy the smell of everything. Plan to try a pastry or cookie.

  A great place to stop when in the neighborhood. Coffee is good, baked goods and bread are excellent. Staff is always warm. Prices are higher than average, but you get what you pay for.

  Avalon has the best bread in town. If I am having dinner at a friend or date's home for dinner I always ask if I can bring a loaf of really good bread. There other baked goods are also very good. I'm a bit partial to their chocolate chip/chunk cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies. They also have a good selection of vegan options.
