  Alex has always been incredibly prompt and professional. When my door broke he came as an on call worker very promptly from his own personal business, was pleasant and professional (as always) and fixed my problem thoroughly and took preventative measures so it will not happen again. My only regret is that I did not have the proper equipment to return the favor and help him with a computer issue he was having. The staff here has always been great. -- Update 3/1/2018 I just wanted to go out of my way to acknowledge the team of people that work the door here. Although their tenure here varies all conduct themselves with impeccable professionalism and are friendly/welcoming. I love talking basketball with Gustavo, although he usually is stuck talking about my favorite teams :). Chance, one of the newer additions, is also great and has accommodated every request I have. Gladys, one of the longer tenured employees is also always a pleasure! Update: Recently my dog has been breaking out of my apartment when I leave, very annoying. The staff worked with me and went above and beyond the call of duty to find a solution. This has been par for the course for my entire time living here. Thanks to everyone.

  Great place! Nice amenities, comfortable apartment (can't beat the convenience of having a washer/dryer in your apartment in NYC), and fantastic views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan. Special shout out to Chance, who is awesome and went out of his way to help me when I needed something printed after the office was closed, which I really appreciated. Really friendly guy and they are lucky to have him on staff here. The only drawback of the building is that even on high floors, the traffic from Flatbush is very loud at night.

  I just wanted to drop a note about the quality of service that I observe in the Fort Greene building. I cannot say enough about the polite, courteous and (most important) consistent service here at Avalon. We are quick to complain, so I thought it necessary to send a compliment.   The team at Avalon Fort Greene are absolutely amazing! We've lived in a few places since moving to NYC and the level of care, service, and communication is off the charts here. From our experience, most landlords in the city have little care for the service and satisfaction of tenants, merely seeing them as expendable and short-term occupants to maximize their rental income. Avalon is completely different. Their commitment to exceptional customer satisfaction is shown through their thoughtful communications, and exceptional service. Particularly we love the concierge team (Gladys, Gus, Michael, and Chase) along with the office and maintenance team who make living here an absolute joy.

  I’ve been in Avalon Fort Greene for almost 3 years now. For anybody looking to rent in Downtown Brooklyn, I just want to give my honest review and tell you that my experience here has been wonderful. I am a real estate agent myself, and I definitely see a lot of apartments and work with different landlords for my job. Whenever I work with a rental client at this particular price point looking to rent in the neighborhood, Avalon Fort Greene is always on the top of my list. Simply put, it’s really quite affordable for what you get all things considered - the super convenient location, the friendly and attentive staff, responsive maintenance crew, easy and flexible application/sublease process, decent appliances, and most importantly nice & spacious layouts. For a larger rental building like this, one wouldn’t expect to always get the personal touch from staff members. However, I can definitely see Avalon Fort Greene and their staff doing their best to give that extra personal attention/customer service. Over the years, I feel like I’ve become friends with many of the staff members. Special shout out to the doormen who are all amazing at their job, and it never cease to amaze me when I see them buried in a pool of packages while still being helpful to different tenants (some of us can be demanding!) One of our doormen, Gustavo, is a stellar example(he’s more than awesome!). It’s certainly nice to come home everyday to a smiley face greeting you. Overall, I give Avalon Fort Greene and its staff the 5 stars they deserve!
