::I have contacted Mayor Adler's by phone six times over the past week. Each time I left w voicemail message requesting a return call from the mayor's staff because no one was available to speak to me. I sent two emails to the mayor's office as well but received no reply. I also left voicemail for the mayor's chief of staff Lesley Varghese and with Barbara Shack, the mayor's executive assistant but have received no replies from them either. It appears that mayor Adler does not accept or require input from the nearly one million citizens of Austin. Any politician who does not respond to public input from their constituents is either simply out of touch with their constituents or is arrogant enough to believe that they are a king and rule with absolute power. In either case, such politicians should be recalled or impeached and removed from office and an election held to replace that person.

::The mayor of Austin, Steve Adler, is the only bright spot in this city. Filled with a strong vision for the city's future and determined to set goals to reach it. He gives me hope. The main drawback is not everyone shares the same experiences as his advisors. Austin is like one of my favorite movies, where the main character worked long hours, was barely fed and was forced to stay in a filthy attic while the other residents lived in luxury. That is not equity and that person is not being kept safe.
