  I’m not big on reviewing places. I feel that one bad experience is not indicative of a place or its reputation. However I have to say that the experience that I had at this “Aunt Butchies” was probably the most offensive and hurtful I’ve ever seen, and it had nothing to do with the food. I’m a realist. I also work in the restaurant/food service business for many, many years. My wife and cousin and I and our two young children decided to stop by Aunt Butchies for some pastries. Once inside while waiting for our order we sat with the kids and had coffee and ordered some desert for the kids. While laughing and having a good time my wife noticed the younger “woman”/hostess or whatever she is start to dart around like a 5 year old with a smirk on her face whispering(but not REALLY whispering) to everyone she could get her hands on. My wife picked up on her annoying and obnoxious behavior and within seconds was able to make out that she was making fun ,pretty openly, of my wife and cousin for ordering desert at 1230 in the afternoon. Then continued to make remarks about their weight. Apparently this was “too early” to have desert and she continued to make fun of us. Now my wife and cousin aren’t the thinnest people in the planet. Needless to say my cousin left in tears. Not wanting to cause a scene in-front of the kids we left! Before we did I approached the owner and he played dumb and refused to acknowledge this “girls” disgusting behavior. All of a sudden his broken English got a lot worse. Look, like I said I’m a realest. I get people make comments about other people. I encourage anyone to think real hard before giving this place ANY business. Especially in this day and age. To be “shamed” and embarrassed like this was sad and hurtful. I will never set foot in this dump again. I realize it’s the new “Staten Island” hot spot but beware if you are packing a few extra pounds be careful what you order and be ready to be ridiculed and embarrassed by the size 2 ,Staten Island, skank bringing you to your seat.   The food is always delicious, and if you have room for dessert go for it or take something home chocolate mousse is so good. And don't forget the Italian egg roll mussels are amazing calamari is is tender nothing bad to say. And the owner is a terrific all around a great night out.

  I had my birthday dinner here with a group of about 12 people .The food was amazing! Family style dining with generous amounts of food. Everything they brought out tasted amazing. The atmosphere in the formal dining section was terrific. A bit loud in there, but so are we so we loved it! Our dinner included unlimited beer, wine and sangria also. That was a great touch. Thank you very much for a memorable birthday celebration! I will definitely be recommending your restaurant to family and friends.

  Unbelievable meal. Family style portions were huge. Just an truly great experience. Highly recommended

  Perfect spot for lunch after my MRI across the street. Trio lunch special very well priced and filling! Wish I came here more often
