  Excited to have a new (small) venue space! Enjoy August Hall much more than it's predecessor, Ruby Skye.

  this is not a review, just a question. August Hall does not open until late April 2018. How can two people rate August Hall a "one" in February when August Hall will not even open for another two months. This seems mighty unfair. (Full disclosure - I wanted to post this comment & query without any stars until I had actually attended a music event at August Hall, but had to click on stars in order to post. My stars are based on how beautiful the rendered pictures are of the space and the hard work that has gone into transforming and preserving an historic building. I love the pictures and look forward to enjoying shows at August Hall in the near future. Will write or update a review in a few months.) late May update: Have since been to August Hall and the experience exceeded expectations. Beautiful space. Excellent sound. Great group. (Bomba Estereo --- so, so good). Eclectic and fun crowd. Amazing reboot of a classic San Francisco venue. Bravo to everyone involved.

  This place has big shoes to fill. Ruby was an institution. I doubt it will ever be the same. Most of us regulars have found new homes.
