  I was not expecting much for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was friendly and made sure to greet us whenever they saw us. It's not a fancy hotel but it had a very warm feel to it. The location is great for any event you're going to in downtown Houston. We will definitely be staying there the next time we need a place to stay in Houston!

  We're had a wonderful stay at this small boutique hotel. The staff were wonderful and extremely accommodating to our family that was staying for a week. All of the rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. This didn't bother us, but be aware of this before making reservations. This place fills up quick before events, because it is so close to everything. Since they have such great service and prices, you need to call early if you want to stay here.

  Not a great place to stay for the price .Folks was smoking weed daily on patio and nothing was done about it I had to ask other guests not to smoke outside my window cause of gaps between the frame of air conditioning allowed the smoke to enter my room. I ASKED FRONT DESK MANAGER TO HANDLE IT BUT SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO DO SO.My wife was bitten by some form of insect twice and was sick most of the stay .The building is historic and is in need of major repairs.My new truck was hit in the hotel parking which is one block away and couldn't get the owner to view video to see who had done it. Constant staff turn over ,and he hires the homeless to do house keeping.He has had experienced folks but they didn't stay long. The owner is a great guy but needs to hire professional staff and update this building .Some of the review are from the owner and employees check out the names of one reviewer that just change the first name with the same last name that worked the front office with five stars on both reviews and her ex boyfriend too ,nice!!!

  The Hotel is nice & clean It was quite. It's an easy walk to many Downtown destinations. Watch out for your car outside. The parking isn't free except to guest they have a place to park one spot per room.. No parking lot attendant. My Dad's car was Stolen not towed stolen! They did offer a free nights stay if they had to stay additional days. I don't look at it like a hotel failure. I look at it as a people/city failure.

  I have been to the Athens hotel and suites with my girlfriend quite a few times. Every time we have been there the staff is extremely nice and professional and they have made us feel very welcome. Thus last time we were there a Mr. John checked us in made sure we had a quiet room and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great hotel experience in Houston
