::This beautifully creaky old building has been around forever. The old car dealership turned art studio still has a few remnants of its past if you look closely. First Friday is always fun here. There's always at least three galleries open and then the 30 or so studios full of very different work. If you go any day other than first Friday though, you get more of an intimate experience although the artists are always happy talking to you about their work. Just make sure you go Tuesday through Saturday; otherwise, you'll be disappointed.

::I went there for the figure model class, and it was well run and professional. The space is big, and there are lots of little studios for artists. Street parking has been good whenever I go there, and there is also a deck nearby.

::Love it! All artists work spaces from which many sell pieces and teach classes. I wish we had something similar back home.

::Perfect date destination. My husband and I strolled along and enjoyed the different art. We went on first Friday. Its amazing how many different mediums are used. There was wall art, metals, sculptures, modern even jewelry. You can meet the artists and purchase the art on the spot. After we had dinner at Bu-ku. It was a perfect evening downtown Raleigh.
