  When I visited this park it was under construction, so no benches available to take a break here; however, the view of Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge was splendid.

  Awesome spot do a walk, ride or run. Go here every time I visit. Love it.

  View of the Golden Gate in the background, Guilhardelli Chocolate in the middle and side of Pier 43. Could to have benches to sit there.

  The quaint, historic cove surrounded by piers includes a swimming area for people, who are able to enjoy the cold bay water. A small beach invites tourists as well as locals. With the Maritime Museum and it’s old ships on one side and the long curved pier out into the bay on the other, this beautiful spot had much to offer: views, information, education, relaxation. Even so the pier is slowly falling apart it still has charm enough to be visited on your next San Francisco trip. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz are amazing and free.
