  Cleanliness needs improvement. Pool was noticeably cloudy and dirty for almost the entire 2nd week of our stay. Staff notified and never got cleaned. Entire hotel dated however kitchenette very convenient as food nearby shady. Other than the lack of cleaning staff was friendly.

  Stayed at an AirBnB on the 27th floor in the Pacific Monarch with a beautiful view of Waikiki beach. We really enjoyed the unit and the building. The musubi cafe located on the 1st floor was a sweet, perfect spot to grab some fresh, warm spam musubi. There usually is a line so prepare for a small wait. The rooftop swimming pool is warm and perfect for a night swim. The hot tub fits plenty of adults. We would be happy to stay here every time we are on Oahu. One minor negative, finding free parking in the area is no fun but the building does has a $25/day option.

  More than decent. $26 resort fee at check out. Free movie rentals and PS3 in room.

  The power went off during our stay and we discovered: THIS BUILDING HAS NO EMERGENCY LIGHTING AND EVEN THE EXIT LIGHTS WERE OUT. THIS BUILDING WOULD NOT PASS FIRE CODE BACK HOME. Every noise from the street was audible from our 12th floor room. The sirens never end, the heavy garbage trucks start before 4 AM and the buses run about 20 hours/day and you hear it all. The roof top deck has great views and the pool is wonderful, but motor for the hot tub screams like a jet engine and eventually becomes hard to ignore.

  Great views, average rooms. Due to a plumbing issue in my original room, we were upgraded to an ocean view suite. The view was fabulous. The beds were comfy, and even the sofabed wasn't bad. The kitchenette was a bit oddly laid out, but had everything we needed. Housekeeping was not all I might have hoped for - things got pretty dusty during out 2 week stay, and the vacuuming was pretty slapdash - but it wasn't terrible. The rooftop pool was warm, and you can see for miles from the pool deck. Turning on the hot tub aeration created a noise like a siren, but if you can live without the bubbles, it's quite pleasant. We spent a lot of time in the courtyard of the sister Aqua hotel next-door, which is lovely. It's about what you'd expect for its price point.
