  The cocktails are great. The bartenders absolutely know what they are doing. Friendly vibe. For me, the pizza was more an accessory than the focus. Good spot in the neighborhood.

  I have just been transported back to living in Naples. This Naples D.O.C. style pizza was perfect in authenticity, and perfect in taste. Of all the things to come back to New Orleans to experience, pizza at Ancora has to be at the top of the list!

  We live in the area, and we go to Ancora every week.. Sometimes more. The food is always delicious, made with fresh ingredients, and never sits--the moment it's out of the oven or pan, it's rushed to a table. Adrian, the chef/co-owner, knows what he's doing. He crafts amazing charcuterie, and my favorite, chicken liver mousse. He clearly trains all of the kitchen because even when he isn't there, the food is consistent. I love the Bianca with an egg... Really, any of the pizzas plus an egg! The staff is always so friendly and the wine selection complements the food perfectly. We love this neighborhood spot and are psyched that it's now open for lunch too.
