The train ride was good. I have mobiity issues so I had my meals in my sleeper. The service was ok but the meals were dried out both ways. Dry salmon and dry pot roast. I did not feel the need to send them back since they were included in my fare. I still tipped the conductor for service. I know to be more specific on my next trip. This station is definitely not a person with disabilities friendly and the staff isn't either. Oh well, Amtrak needs to read these reviews.

The station only has one platform, and only receives two trains per day, both on the 'City of New Orleans" line, one in the morning, heading to New Orleans and one in the evening, heading to Chicago. There is a small waiting area, accessible only from the parking area, not from the street due to construction. There is an employee working inside the station, you can check bags in the waiting area. There is a bathroom and some Amtrak magazines, but that's about it, other than seating. As the train pulls in, you'll be instructed to go out to the lineup, and your ticket will be scanned and you'll head to your room/seat. The station building is alright, safe and kind of clean, but it's very minimal. Not sure if something bigger is coming from construction or not.

The trip to New Orleans was great, but on the way back we got stuck on the track in the middle of nowhere with no ideas as To when we would get back moving, with only an hour and a half out of Memphis. It’s been 2hrs and we are still waiting to move off the track.
