  I had my hair done on Saturday, May 26 and here it is May 28th and I’llbe taking them out tomorrow. I left very disappointed. My hair isn’t anything like I asked it to be I ended up with a bob (and too many braids) when I actually asked for my braids to be shoulder lenght all the way around. But I was too discourage to tell her again that it wasn’t coming out right because she seemed to be getting a little frustrated with me. Plus I had a wake to attend that day. I asked for my hair not to be parted a a particular way because of the thinness of my hair but again my request fell in def ears. The end of the box braids are all different sizes which should not be the case. I am really shock & upset because my first two visit were wonderful. Granted someone else did my hair this time. It just needs to be done over. Revision: I just want to say that I still would recommend this place because 2 out of 3 isn’t bad. It just so happen THIS TIME I was happy. Reply: Thank you for your prompt response I will reach out tomorrow.

  I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they did the opposite and the box braids aren’t that good don’t go trust me

  Came in to a crowded messy room, and waited more than 30 minutes for a simple hairstyle. There were two hairstylists doing each clients hair, and not one stopped to attend the needs of the waiting clients. Some people left, but I stayed to give the benefit of the doubt. The hairstylist I had was very rough, and didn’t not know how to handle natural hair. The hairstyle did not come out the way I wanted. Would not recommend this place, unless you are desperate. I’ve had a better experience at Elegance African Hair Braiding.

  This place is infested by roaches. They are falling from the walls, and running through your feet and bags. And no one seems to mind...! Also, when they saw I wasn't from Nyc they tried to make me pay $140 for basic box braids !! But LOL, everywhere else I have them for $100 or maximum $120. And to finish the nightmare, the next day my hair was already falling apart from the extensions :) ....Just don't go there !

  let me tell y’all. i came to get box braids and i thought I’ll be in the chair for usually the 4-5 hours that im use to. NO, there were four ladies working on my hair and they did an amazing job, they did the style I wanted and got me out the chair in a hour and 30 mins. Very friendly and understanding of what you want to do. i recommend this place for sure
