  The entire team at AV is awesome. They're friendly and they do a great job with the cleaning. If anything is ever wrong they immediately take responsibility and do what they can to make it right. They're a neighborhood gem that even goes so far as to give a bottle of wine over the holidays to their frequent customers. Highly recommend!

  I have used all three services offered by American Valet and I am always great full that they are still at the same location and in business. They charge a reasonable fee for all of their work, and they have been in town longer than I have; which goes back to 1963. They are the only shop I trust with my shoes and clothing, and it's nice to have a tailor to sew a button on you jacket or shirt.

  Joe and Donnie have preserved my wardrobe for years and years. I drive 45 minutes once a month to their shop. I have never found another dry cleaner that compares.

  A true gem in Upper NWDC, this family owned & operated dry cleaners have handled my suits & shirts with great care and efficiency. Typically a 24 hour turnaround; a little on the high side in terms of pricing, but generally on par with other dry cleaners in the Van Ness/Tenleytown, AU sections of upper NW. Ask for Joe (owner)...will remember your name after one or two visits, really adding to that local neighborhood feel!

  Took an expensive jacket into American Valet to be repaired. They recommended I not do it because a patch would be required an it wouldn't look good. I have a lot of respect when a merchant walks away from money to do the right thing for a customer.
