  If there was an option for negative stars, that would have been my rating. Daryl S was recommended by home advisor for a simple floor job, which later turned into a full house renovation. He came over 3 hours late to our first counselstation appointment. It took his workers an entire day to remove staples from my stairs. He would disappear for days and weeks, execuses after excuses, and randomly show up at my house without a phone call as if nothing happened. He thought he could save me money when I was remodeling my kitchen and forgot about finishing the floors. I was left without an oven for over 4 months. My ulitily bills doubled when Daryl was “working on my house” because he would leave every light on, never shut the door (in the freezing winter months) when I told him every night he was over to please shut the door, and refuse to set up a simple gas line so I can cook again. Everyday was another excuse (when he decided to pick up his phone). On Valentine’s Day he asked for money from me so that his worker can take his wife out. His famous phrase, “ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY”, yet he yelled at my fiancé on the phone several times to pay him early because he had some personal reasons that required cash. I’ve missed every holiday from thanksgiving 2017- now because Daryl was FOR SURE COMING. Be aware of this scam artist, he may make you believe you are saving money, but he will cost you the biggest headache in the end. He will start your job and never finish. Stay away!

  Daryl S is the worst contractor that I have had. He started the job in November 2017 and has not finished the job up until now April 2018. He takes money and materials then disappears. He doesn’t answer phone calls or text. Do not hire him for anything he is a scam artist.

  I would never use this Company again. I got Daryl S and his Company American flooring Contractor from Home Advisor. I hired Daryl to install a wood floor for me about 2000 square feet. first he took way too long to install it and kept coming up with excuses as to why he wasn't able to finish it quickly. He told me he was in the hospital for 3 days while working at another job. i eventually fired him. 6 months later now my floor is shifting all over the place, some boards weren't even nailed down to the sub floor and i have gaps all over the place showing where the nails should been. ive tried to call him for 3 months straight using texts and emails and he will not respond. i recommend if you see this company run the other way. 5-12-14
