  Alvord Lake is a man made lake that sits within Cesar Chavez Park in Laveen, Arizona. Designated as a Community Fishing Pond, it is managed and maintained by the City of Phoenix Parks & Recreation Department. The lake is usually filed with many types of waterfowl, primarily Mallard Ducks, Mud Hens, Canadian Geese, and occasionally you may be lucky enough to see a pair of Swans.
