  The entire staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooms are a decent size for a NY hotel. Housekeeping standards are low; they straighten up rather than clean the rooms. Stayed for 4 nights and the bathroom was never cleaned outside of refreshing the towels and toilet paper. Beds were made but sheets weren't changed after multiple requests. Floors weren't vacuumed ever.

  It's a nice place staff are great. But had a little problem when was trying to extend my stay. Had to go through long process whiles I couldn't get into my room. Security is one of the best I have come across so far. I do recommend this hotel. But make sure you top up before you run out.

  I stayed at this hotel while visiting a conference nearby. The hotel is a short walk to the subway, which worked for me since I was coming in via Amtrak. The hotel is nicely decorated. However, the bed was a little uncomfortable to me. The staff was very friendlt and helpful. The staff member who greeted me let me know about a few food options nearby who offered discounts to the hotels guest. The hotel has a nice bar that offered small plates after 5pm. It was a little expensive but they offered daily drink specials. Overall, I liked my stay at this hotel. If you are planning on doing some exploring in the Harlem neighborhood then this is a good choice.

  The rooms are decent, not top shelf, but decent. The entire hotel has the vibe of a European hostel. The gym is fairly poor condition. It is in the bottom floor and has a very limited amount of equipment. I ended up going to another gym nearby. Planet Fitness, about a block-and-a-half away. The staff is very friendly and willing to help if asked. I've stayed at this hotel on four separate occasions for work. There are are no decent views. Most look at either an Alleyway or a plain apartment building across the street.

  I stayed at Aloft Harlem for two nights and really liked it. The decor was nice and rooms were clean and comfortable, though our in room safe didn't work. Rooms have their own thermostat setting, but the fan was a bit loud (but kept us warm and dry in the days leading up to the snowstorm). Plenty of food and entertainment nearby with the Magic Johnson theater across the street and Apollo theater up two blocks. Staff was friendly and parking was not difficult to find nearby (1-3 blocks). Would stay there again!
