::I don't understand how this place has such a high rating. The rooms are extremely noisy from both outside noise and noise originating in the hotel itself. The floors bounce, there is chipped paint in the hallways, saggy light fixtures, marks on the carpet, there is a funky odor, the decor is tacky and cheap looking. There is very little hotel parking and it's not free. You end up paying $40 per day to park. Unfortunately the room was booked for me by the company travel planner but l have suggested we never book with Aloft hotels again.

::Buses run past the hotel late at night and early in the morning so the room was a little loud. Walking distance from 16th Street Mall which was pretty convienient for meals. Room was very comfortable and modern.

::I had a terrible experience in the last couple days of my one week stay at Aloft. My medicines were missing from my room after the room service personnel had only partially tidied it up. I was surprised to see that only parts of the room were made up and not fully done. The most serious issue here was my missing medicine! I contacted the help desk, who couldn't help me at all and informed me that they'd pass on the message to house keeping department - which they obviously did not. I had to explain the issue to 5 different people only to be told that they didn't know anything about my medicines. To top it all, a rude staff member at the help desk said this to me - "I do not know what do you expect us to do ma'am. The medicines are gone. We can't do anything about it." It was disappointing to see that nobody was ready to take any responsibility and try to help me out. On my last night at the hotel, I had some extremely noisy neighbors running up and down the corridor, throwing stuff around in their room - keeping me awake till 2:00 am. I approached the hotel management yet again. Fortunately, I finally got to meet someone who was polite and courteous, at the hotel front desk. I was told they'd send me a refund for one night to compensate for the disturbance. Thankfully, I did receive this! While my stay was mostly comfortable, the experience I had in the last two nights was very bad. I am sorry, but I don't think I will ever return to Aloft or try their hotels in other cities.

::Everything was great. Joe, the valet, was incredibly friendly and helpful. The associate at front desk was obviously new, but very friendly as well. Parking was triple charged even though I only stayed one night and he wasn't sure how to fix it, but it was corrected on my final bill so all good!

::Stayed here 3 days for a large volleyball tourney and the hotel was overbooked. Instead of receiving our reserved room with 2 double beds, our party of 3 was given a room with one king. Not good! We were given an air mattress and promised a different room for our last 2 nights. Upon use we discovered the air mattress deflated completely in about an hour. The next morning we came down to find out about a different room and was told there was nothing available. We would have left right then but there was nothing available for miles and we did not want to leave the rest of our team so we were stuck. I would have given the place 1 star had it not been for Ana and Justin. They came in later that day and somehow was able to get our room changed and saved our trip. Professional and courteous the whole time. You guys rock! Overall, the hotel is nice and in a great location downtown but like all hotels they overbook.
