  Very good place for lunch at the zoo. They do have a top-notch menu and a good bar as well. Definitely a great place to be after all that walking. Loved the fish and chips.

  Terrible service for the price you pay for frozen food fried food. 16 minutes just to talk to the waitress and ask for drinks making it a total of a half hour with not even water. Ordered same time as drinks food came out in reasonable time. Waitress would disappear for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. Paid in cash just so we could leave.

  I got the Wild Mushroom risotto, and it was pretty darn good. Food runs pricey, but you can feel good knowing that a portion of the proceeds goes back to the zoo. I was hoping to see more vegetarian options. Servers are friendly and attentive.

  Came to eat at this nice restaurant to have a nice experience lunch at the zoo. Found that it was quite the opposite. Once seated it took 15 minutes to get someone to come over and take our drink order. There wasn’t even a wait to get in. Plenty of white waiters walking around though serving other customers, we were the only brown ones sitting down. Didn’t think it was like that, but after a good while longer a waitress came by to let us know that the gave her our table to serve, wow. So, I really didn’t have an appetite any more but my kiddos did, so I got them up after a bitter debate about the what was happening and went to eat somewhere else. I didn’t want my family to experience that, ever, but they did now. So, if you’re are a family man trying to give your family a good vacation experience, avoid this restaurant at all costs. I’d give a no star but you have to give them a star for at least the look of it, pretty deceiving. The zoo was a blast though with an incredible amount of memorable fun and awesome things to see. Staff was great too!

  What a joy to have lunch here. It may not be quite 5 stars, but it's really good. We were here with family and a couple local friends. One who contracted with the zoo for many years. We started with drinks at the bar. It's as good as I would expect at a nice place in town. The classic drinks were strong, well made, and not obscenely priced. We had some nice conversation with others at the bar, and the barkeep. The food isn't fine dining, but it's well prepared. We weren't there at the height of tourist season. I don't know if that matters, but we had no pressure to finish the food quickly to get the table turned. It was a truly relaxing respite from the walking and non-stop exhibits of the zoo. The wine list was carefully chosen, and reasonable as well. Every zoo should have something like this. I've been to zoos all over the World and not seen a better in the park restaurant.
